Who We Are
Jalapenyo is part of a privately owned company started in California in 2004.
The story of Jalapenyo.com begins at a site called OnfuegO. OnfuegO.com was launched in July 2004 as (at the time) a revolutionary new way for video enthusiasts and bloggers to interact and showcase their work on the Web.
OnfuegO was getting a significant number of videos posted by moms wanting to share videos of their babies with family and friends. But OnfuegO is a pretty "edgy" site and there are some edgy, artsy videos up there. The founders saw an opportunity to provide a service to moms and families that they clearly wanted - the ability to share their video of their babies and young children with friends and family. The Jalapenyo site was born and we made the site more playful, brighter and more family-oriented.
What We Do
Jalapenyo is comprised of talented individuals with (combined) many years' experience managing and delivering Web site/application design and production initiatives for Fortune 100 companies.
We've applied our experience and expertise to create a place on the Web for people to share their personal home videos via ecards with friends and family. Jalapenyo is much like popular ecard sites that exist now. We just took the idea to another level and introduced video sharing. The site is easy to use and fun!
